The clean deodorant you NEED to try x

Hi friends!

Hope ya’ll are having a great day so far!!! As you may know, I have been posting on IG about a 14-day challenge with Native deodorant! To be honest, before the challenge all I knew about Native was that it was a better deodorant alternative that I frequently saw when browsing the aisles at Target, and saw other bloggers posting about - that’s about it!

I recently JUST finished the challenge, so I wanted to round up some thoughts below of what I thought, and also share some more details/thoughts on this Native stuff!!!

ABOUT NATIVE x

Native is a deodorant, BUT not your average deodorant friends. ;) It protects against odors while being a safe & effective alternative to a regular antiperspirant deodorant.

Native is different because they don’t use any aluminum, parabens, or sulfates in any of their products. Instead of all those dangerous ingredients, they use ingredients like -

x Coconut Oil & Shea Butter for moisture

x Baking soda & probiotics which helps fight odor

x Tapioca Starch to stay dry and fresh

Native believes in KNOWING what you put on your body; especially in an area as sensitive as your under arms. They only create products that they’d put on theirselves, which is what you want when looking for a deodorant brand right?!

I had always been curious about natural deodorants, but thought the switch would be too complicated. I thought I would have to do the whole “charcoal detox”, and thought natural deodorant’s would just permanently make me smell.

I started to do my research and talk to my friends when I heard about the harmful ingredients in regular antiperspirant deodorants. I wanted to know if natural deodorants were just "a trend” or actually important. It’s crazy how popular beauty items can seem so “good for you” until you ACTUALLY look into the ingredients.

Not only am I thankful that I found a deodorant with GOOD ingredients, I’m thankful for the realization that not all products that claim they are “good for you” are. I now look into the ingredients of my makeup, body wash, lotions, and even FOOD. Brands can be tricky, so make sure you KNOW what you put on your body. Do your research!

I love Native because they care about giving people GOOD products. Only ingredients and things they would put on themselves. That’s why I’m so honored and excited that I took on this challenge with Native and that I get to share all this goodness with my friends. I never want to mislead you guys, and want the best for your bodies - as Native does!

Anyways, enough blabbing. Onto the 14 day challenge - all the details on how it went step by step for you below!! xx

FIRST WEEK x

Now we’re getting to the good stuff. All of those details and ingredients are great, but does it really work?! I had been wanting to try it out so finally made the leap and decided to go full force 14 days!

First time trying it out, first thing I noticed was how GOOD it smelt. Aren’t these natural deodorant’s supposed to smell bad?!! Haha! The Coconut & Vanilla scent is heavenly! The texture is a little grainy when applying, but smoothes out after you’ve applied.

The first few days I did not smell AT ALL. Seriously I was like this is niiiiceeee! Then a few more days … I got a little smelly to be honest hehe. I was in Chicago at the time, and had to warn the girls that I had been trying a new deodorant!

SECOND WEEK x

After the first week was over, I was not as “stenchy” … is that a word?! It is for this blog post haha, I was not as smelly as the week before and felt like things were going up hill! I also tried the “Lavender & Rose” scent which is soooo yummy smelling too!

I still smelt after a heavy workout, but not if I wasn’t doing any heavy activity. Towards the end of the 14 days I totally forgot I even changed deodorants lol. Which is good right?! I even asked Brandon if I’d been smelling and he will ALWAYS give me honesty & he said I smelled great!

End of my 14 day thoughts - I am HONESTLY so happy I made the switch. I never want to go back, it feels good knowing that you’re putting good ingredients on your body. I put good ingredients IN-TO my body so why wouldn’t I put it ON-TO my body?!
