Tips to Start off 2022 with a Bang!!!

HELLO FRIENDS!

Wow it’s been awhile since i’ve been here on the blog, but one goal for me 2022 is for more blog posts! I thought this would be a great first post to share a few tips that work * for me * In key words for me because I have really random things that work for me, but they may do nothing for you! BUT anyways I’m excited to share. I thrive off being organized, and get way more done doing so! Okay let's get to it ladies!!!

cute organization

simple but holy crap does it make a difference for me LOL. Not only cute, but reaaally do your research on the best planner / to do list brands that align best with your style and lifestyle! I’ve tried a ton of brands and some that work for my friends do nothing for me. I even notice if my planner / to do list game is off, I seriously am not as productive HAHA.

Listing below my top favorite planner / organization brands in order:

  • https://stilclassics.com - current favorite and the planner I am using in the above picture. Also the stickers I use to customize my planner. Another favorite bestseller they have that’s one of my all time favorites is their “Get It Done” Journal.

  • https://www.russellandhazel.com - another favorite I’ve continued ordering for about 8 years now which is insane, but I love them that much! The acrylic folder, mail drop, pencil box, calendar, and to do list I have is all russell + hazel for reference!

Honestly I’m leaving the list here. Short and sweet - these are the best IMO.

create a space of inspiration

I heard someone say once create a space that makes you feel inspired and so that’s what I’ve done ever since and WOW does it make a difference, especially as a creative! No matter what job you have though I think it’s so important to fall in love with a space you love that makes you feel inspired, awake and motivated!

cleanliness

Every morning an essential part of my routine (because like my brain I cannot work in a messy space lol) I have to clean / pick up! Little things like this really do make such a big difference and help keep a clear headspace! It doesn’t have to be intense cleaning! Some things that help for me are keeping a clutter free counter, making the bed daily, picking up random items, etc!

treating your body well

Sounds easy to write off, but seriously. This will make a WORLD of a difference with your energy. Especially when it comes to healthy (or just healthier) foods and loads of water. I notice such a big difference in my energy and overall motivation when I watch what I put in my body. What you put in your body is FUEL so choose wisely! Don’t get me wrong I still have lots of sweets, junk food and all of that LOL but I like the 80/20 rule - 80% eating well, 20% not eating so well lol. Basically. So much more manageable.

Moving your body also can be a great way to start your day or week off right! I know when I start my day off with moving my body it really sets the tone for my day and great energy wise!

create a schedule

Create a schedule that works well for you and your lifestyle! It doesn’t have to be super strict unless you’re into that then time blocking might be the way to go for you!! I know when I need to get ISH done I’ll time block my schedule to get maximum results! But usually time blocking is a little too intense for me and makes me go a little crazy personally lol.

For me I have a general schedule of what I’d like to get done in order in the morning and general times for those things and then for the rest of the day after that I use my planner to set my to do list for work wise and then I keep separate to do lists for non work / personal items.

I’ll share a little bit of what my usual schedule looks like below! I recently altered this for the new year to be not so intense (that was no bueno for my mental health ahaha). I can become very obsessive so I tried to chill it out a bit and try to follow it (loosely) meaning if I don’t I won’t be upset about it all day. LOL. Like I said, very obsessive personality with workaholic tendencies so I have to set some things in practice to stay sane and enjoy my day to day work life which is important for me!

7:30 - wake up / skin routine / make breakfast

8:00 - eat / devotional / post to IG (maybe get coffee??)

8:30 - workout

9:00 / 9:15 - (depending on length of workout): clean, pick up house / write work to do lists for the day / freshen up

9:30 - start the work day (or get coffee if I haven’t already!)

Then I dive into my work to do list for the day! I love to keep a personal to do list nearby to add random to do’s to my list that pop in my head throughout the day so that I don’t miss anything!

So many other things I could ponder on and add to this blog post to keep productive but I want to keep it pretty simplified on my best tips! I hope this helps it truly has made such a difference for me in my work and personal life (and mental health). I love you all and hope you enjoyed!!
