LIFE UPDATE x on our little family!

IMG_2196.jpg

Hi hi friends!

I guess I made that title sound a little drastic like we had some big announcement haha no we are not pregnant or moving lol! Figured I haven’t given an update for our little family for awhile so gonna be sharing a short little update on where we’re at in life!

life in az

We moved to Scottsdale last January, so have officially been here for 1 year and a half which is just wild. We absolutely love it for the time being, but are just feeling like it’s not ultimately home. We are hoping when Brandon is all done with his work here that Jesus will make it clear either to stay put or go somewhere else!

Now do I have a preference? UM absolutely haha!! And I hateeee not knowing where we’re gonna end up and just the * unknown * aspect really stresses yo girl out haha, BUT trusting He will lead us where He wants us. We’re assuming we’ll be here until around next May, but again who knows haha.

We were planning to be back in Seattle with family which was our original plan, but recently the Lord really brought it to my attention that I was TELLING Him and not ASKING Him about my Seattle plan haha (control freak over here). So I’ve come to the place in my heart and my mind that it may be Seattle, or it may be here or it may be somewhere else! And I’m learning to be find with all of those options. :)

hubby’s job

So if you’ve been following me for awhile you may know that Brandon & I moved down here to Scottsdale for his pilot career! After law school, and real estate, he realized that his true passion and what he’s always wanted to do was fly and be a commercial pilot so we made the move down here! We chose Arizona btw because it’s easier to get your flight training done here FAST since it’s sunny every. single. day. And very hot if I may add.

So last year he finished all of his ratings he needed for the airlines (at ATP - some people ask, so figured I’d include it in here). Now he’s working on getting his 1500 hours of flight time by working at Sierra Charlie Aviation as a flight instructor! It’s been crazy 80 hour weeks and a season of not getting much time together, but so thankful for his work ethic and ability to go after a dream and glad I can support him in this season!

We are hoping next year around this time that the airlines will be hiring again, so that he can start at a regional airline! He’s also still trying to get me to go up in a small plane with him but I refuse hahahaha. I told him not until he’s in a bigger plane lolol I hate flying which is v ironic.

my job

My full time job for 3 years now has been Instagram which by the way is just WILD, but such a blessing! I’ve loved all the opportunities I’ve gotten to go on trips, to work with my dream brands, and just to do something I truly enjoy has been so amazing. I did btw think Instagram would get easier the larger my following grew, but don’t be fooled IG blogger life is not all it seems haha. There is a lot of behind the scenes work people will never see and a lot of mean people behind their computers who like to be rude and have a say on every aspect of your life. I’d say overall I’ve learned how to have tough skin and grow in so many ways I didn’t think was possible from a social media platform lol.

On the working side, what’s been new and exciting this year is that I have a management team who manages all of my collaborations, payments, pitches brands, etc which has been so amazing! I also have an intern who will help me with some items. I’m hoping to hire someone full time when we are more settled somewhere. The hard part about IG is that you’re never off.. Day & night. So learning how to just turn it off at night sometimes and for most of Sunday has helped me stay sane for sure! Not with just work wise, but social media is very draining, and exhausting. The comparisons can be hard not to let get to you. I’ve really had to spend more time with Jesus to remind me who I am in HIM and that IG is not all it seems!

honey

Gahhh my sweet honey babyyyy. She has been an angel let’s just be real. Ok that’s it. HAHA. Jk I’ll give a little more. She’s finally out of the physco puppy stage, is still crazy, but has calmed down quite a bit. She lays with me every single day on the couch while I work and it’s legit the best thing ever. I’m in love with her. She’s a spunky, needy (in the cutest way), little cuddle bug.

She’s officially totally potty trained too and still sleeps in her crate which she actually loves!

marriage & babies

Our marriage is absolutely amazing. I feel like we have grown so much since moving to Arizona and are closer than ever! The more we learn how each other operates and learning to keep Jesus at the center has totally been key. I never thought I’d find someone so perfectly designed for me even in our differences. I’m just so thankful Jesus brought us together and for our marriage! As far as babies that’s still not for a bit haha.. Ideally I’d like to start trying at 27 (I’m 24 for reference ;). We want to be able to have some fun with those airline bennies & travel a bit before having kids. But ultimately it will happen when it happens and I’m ok if it happens earlier.. Brandon may have a heart attack but we’ll be good HAHA jk he would be so happy!

Hope y’all enjoyed this update! As always I’d love to hear from y’all in the dm’s if anything stuck out to you or something similar you’re going through. Again, I can’t say it enough thank you thank you thank you all for being my online friend and for the support / encouragement. It means more than you know!
