My Chemical Peel Experience

Hi friends!

I hope you’re having a good start to your week! I don’t know about y’all, but I’ve felt just such a heaviness these past few weeks. With everything going on in the world, it’s hard not to feel saddened & anxious. I know being in the bible and relying on Jesus through this time has helped me truly so much! When I’ve felt hopeless, He’s my true hope!

I know this is a little off topic from this blog post, but I just want you to know if you are feeling this too you are not alone! Check in on your friends and loved ones and turn to Jesus, the one who we all need the most!

Now on a lighter note, skin talk!!! Okay SO. Post quarantine my skin was breaking out reaaaal bad. I see @marieskincare on a pretty regular basis (except quarantine), so when I went to see her she usually suggests a chemical peel when I’ve broken out pretty bad!

Lemme just say I loveeee a good chemical peel. I have very acne prone skin (have been on accutane, dermatologist since middle school, all the things), and a chemical peel does WON-DERSSS for my skin! Not only does it give you baby smooth new skin, but almost always clears me right up!

Anyways, if you have any questions about Chemical Peels Marie is a great source to ask questions to (since I don’t know very much), BUT I did want to show y’all the process I had. Exactly how much I peeled & the after. So big intro, but here we go!!!

Day 1 & 2

For the first 2 days I didn’t really notice any changes! Peeling did not begin, the calm before the storm you could say haha.

Day 3

Peeling finally started on the 3rd day after my peel! Lots of dryness!

Day 4-5

Oh man oh man and the peeling starts. Pretty sure I had to tell everyone I saw “Don’t worry it’s just a peel, I’m not overly dry or something”. HAHA. The peeling doesn’t hurt at all.

Day 6 & 7

By day 7 by skin was completely back to normal and GLOWING! No makeup in the above photos and my acne was almost totally gone! Not to mention the most baby soft smooth skin.

Although the week of a chemical peel can be a little annoying, the benefits are so so worth it!!!
